Lloyd Nicks

Lloyd Nicks

Lloyd Nicks is faithful to his calling – bringing people together through songs and messaging that focuses on the realness of being human – the good and bad, highs and lows, joys and sorrows – all the complexities of our common experiences. Through his music, Lloyd leans into his perspective as a husband, father, friend, and pastor – all through the lens of someone who loves Jesus.

Co-writing the GRAMMY® Award and Billboard Music Award® winning, #1 Radio Hit, That's My King (carried by the legendary CeCe Winans), Lloyd's gift of storytelling mixed with music is on display, with his focus on God being with us through all of the messiness, wanting us to live in the tension, and to boldly approach it... leaning into with praise, even, together.

Lloyd's music gives us language that illustrates how we can be completely honest with ourselves and where we are in our faith journey, without shame, knowing that there are others feeling the same way... that we're not alone. His lyrics and approaches to music act like a sounding board to listeners, giving us language and a soundtrack to our everyday experiences. It highlights God's love for us and what makes us special, but also His love for what brings us together.

Lloyd's Common Ground Initiative demonstrates his commitment to raising up other creatives, providing them a platform for community and collaboration, encouraging them to step out of their normal ecosystem and broaden their approach with like-minded people in their community. This is done through Songwriting Workshops, Recording Sessions, Field Trips, Showcases, and Evenings of Collaboration.

Lloyd proudly calls St. Louis his home, where he lives with his wife, Ashley, and their kids, Zoey and Dillan.
