Thank you! ... Thank you! ... Thank you! Julia and I had a fantastic time on the LOVE LIKE YOU MEAN IT marriage cruise. We took in all the sessions ... enjoyed the music and comedy ... ate way too much ... and had a great time relaxing and renewing ... We took a couple of excursions including ... Jet Skiing at Coco Cay ... it was a blast ... even found a live starfish ...We were very much excited about many of the upcoming tools for ministry to marriages that were re-introduced or introduced at the Thurs afternoon info session. We are considering hosting an: ART OF MARRIAGE EVENT this fall. Will know specific dates in the next couple of weeks. We are continuing to use the Home Builder Study Material and encourage couples to attend the Weekend Getaway. Julia and I loved the cruise so much we are planning to attend next year. We are trying to get at least a half dozen other couples to join us. A dozen would even be better. We have created a group for 2012. I have had interest from several within our church and many outside our church attending the 2012 cruise.
Last weekend I was at an event here in the Chicago area where Crawford Loritts was a presenter... after one of the sessions, we were savoring some special moments from the cruise ... his comment went something like: "Even as a Family Life Board member ... Karen and I were amazed at the cruise ... it far exceeded our expectations."
Julia and I echo those thoughts!
